Bendegúz Bálint Soós-Nagy, Hungarian Arbitration Lawyer
Bendegúz Soós-Nagy, Associate at Aceris Law, is a Hungarian national who obtained his law degree at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During his studies, he spent one semester at the University of Salamanca in Spain, studying Spanish law and public international law, as well as a semester at the Catholic University of Lyon studying Investment and Commercial Arbitration. Bendegúz has assisted with an ICSID arbitration under Hungarian law, with an ICDR arbitration under New York law, multiple multi-million-dollar ICC construction arbitrations under Russian and English law, as well as with the arbitration and Dispute Adjudication Board proceedings of a USD 15 million-dollar dispute between an Eastern European State-owned company and a consortium of construction companies.
Prior to joining Aceris, Bendegúz was a Trainee at Kende, Molnár-Bíró, Katona, a Hungarian law firm with a broad investment and commercial arbitration practice, where he assisted with a large ICC arbitration under Hungarian law as well as advising Hungarian and international companies in the IT, banking and investment sectors and the automotive industry.
During his studies, with the team of Eötvös Loránd University, Bendegúz participated twice in the FDI Investment Moot Competition, reaching the top 16 for the first time in the history of the University. Bendegúz is primarily based in Budapest and he speaks English, Spanish, French and Hungarian.
