An International Arbitration & Mediation Lawyer graduate of the prestigious College of Europe, Andrian Beregoi has significant experience with ICC, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL arbitrations. Andrian speaks English, French, Russian and Romanian.
Andrian received an LLM from the College of Europe in European Law, drafting a thesis on the regulatory power doctrine in customary international law and the CETA draft agreement (EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement). He previously studied at the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, obtaining a Masters in Arbitration and International Trade Law, as well as the University of Madras in India, where he studied Indian and international law.
His previous experience as an International Arbitration & Mediation Lawyer was obtained at the European Commission – Legal Service – Trade policy and WTO in Brussels, Belgium, and during legal internships at Orrick Rambaud Martel, Lazareff Le Bars and Derains & Gharavi in Paris, France, and Singhania & Partners in New Delhi, India.
He is also a lecturer at the EDHEC Business School, coaching students for the mediation competition organized by Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP) in Paris. Andrian’s mediation expertise has contributed to the succes of his teams who obtained first places.

As a construction arbitration lawyer with experience in commercial and investment arbitrations, Andrian intervenes in various cases under the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and ICSID rules of arbitration, including a dispute regarding the construction of a glace fiber plant in the Middle-East. As an CISG Arbitration Lawyer, Andrian contributes to the representation of a construction company in an arbitration against a Chines supplier under Vienna Convention on Sale of Goods (CISG). He is also contributing with his experience of International Arbitration & Mediation Lawyer to the representation of a Moldovan state agency against an Austrian contractor in relation to an UNCITRAL construction arbitration.

As a graduate trainee during his five months’ traineeship Andrian worked on WTO law as well as European Union trade law. Andrian has drafted submissions in WTO cases on behalf of the European Union including a dispute on European Union’s tariff quotas for the importation of poultry products. Andrian prepared a legal opinion on treaty termination under Vienna Convention and on European’s Union external competence. He carried out legal research and summarized submissions in WTO and CJEU proceedings.
Orrick Rambaud Martel, International arbitration group, Paris, France – Legal trainee (1/2014 – 6/2014)
Andrian contributed to the representation of interests of the State of Guinea in an investment arbitration against an alleged French investor where Guinea won on jurisdiction. He assisted one of the arbitrators in a case involving the construction of a road in Africa, which was financed by the European Development Fund. He intervened in arbitration proceedings concerning construction of a gas plant in France and construction of a manufacture in the Middle-East. Andrian intervened in arbitration proceedings under ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC rules of arbitration.

Andrian carried out legal research and drafted memoranda on international and national law of France, Romania, Belarus and several African countries, as well as on OHADA law, intellectual property, corporate and investment law.

Andrian contributed to the representation of an investor against an Eastern European country. He was involved in summarising allegations of the parties in a construction dispute in the Middle-East. He carried out legal research on contract law, corporate law, intellectual property and investment law. Andrian helped with the translations of documents, evidence and legal texts to and from English, French, Romanian and Russian.
